I graduated BSc Computing and Business Administration in 2017, but I didn’t feel like I could pursue computing as a career. So I started working in music and radio from 20 years old as they were both hobbies of mine, this lead me to music production which in turn lead me to becoming a radio host. I have thoroughly enjoyed working in music/radio as I have met and worked with many talented people, some of whom have gone onto bigger and better things and I feel this has helped me become a well-rounded person. Furthermore, I have always been interested in working in arts & culture sector although finding a paid role without professional experience has been difficult.
I’m on STEP , which I am very grateful for as it has allowed me to explore other roles within the arts sector and learn new skills and go out of my comfort zone for example in my first placement I am learning how to film and edit and work in an office/academic environment. It also allows me to not worry about my finances and this allows me to give 100% in my traineeship. I’m looking forward to both placements with London College of Fashion and Worldwide FM.
