Jordan’s early career was characterised by his decision to go out and find interesting work rather than attend university. Passionate about a creative career, he struggled to find paid employment in the sector. He has been developing his skills in film, media and event production for many years. He’s active in his local east London scene and has worked at festivals and projects such as Lovebox and Belladoom. He has a real passion for his local area and wants to use his skills in digital media to contribute to creative projects. He has been placed in the digital content department of UAL London College of Fashion.
Jordan was ambitious to work in the sector but before STEP he felt his lack of networks and experience were a barrier to achieving his goals. Knowledge of the sector hadn’t identified what route to go down. Rather than working for free – STEP has provided a route into the industry that allows him to support himself financially in London.
