On applying, Olivia stated that her identity as a BAME, working class woman from Tower Hamlets has developed in her a desire to ‘disrupt’ things. In particular, through outreach work, using her creative energies to work with the community and sharing her skills and knowledge with her peers. She has been placed for the first of her internships with Rosetta Arts Centre in West Ham, where she will be using her impressive communications skills to promote the centre’s valuable work. Olivia states: “STEP opens doors that otherwise would have been difficult to enter.”
